I really did a dumb thing....had not used my CNX Nano 2 as I-link for one year and even forgot I converted it....plugged it in and thought I would do a factory default....now I don't know what files it needs, as the factory default supposedly erased the satellites and I believe my server info....which might not be too bad, but since I am an I-link, I need to know the proper step by step way to get this back to Nano 2....I want the simple life....Ha!

Anyway, will I need to use a boot loader via the RS232 Port, because the USB just gives me a green light and I cannot load any files...whether they are right or wrong...

Appreciate any reply and help with this painful matter....Thanks:sorrow:

Not familiar with those, but Factory defaults don't change or delete files, just settings like time, switch ports etc, and satellites scanned and channels. Why not just try those, scan sats. at least for a start.

Re enter your correct antenna setting you had before you defaulted the unit ----re scan your sats ---set time correct and you will be back where you started before the factory default.
Factory default as posted doesn't load a factory bin file to the unit and it doesn't change the bin file you last loaded.

Thank you so much, but after researching and checking everything 3 times, I finally got the stupid thing working......some of the information here made me think there had to be more wrong with this than what I was seeing....I just had it up on the tv and did not touch any set up except for the factory default thing and then I could not get anything....somehow, I happened to hit a button on the remote which gave me a black screen and I thought the thing was messed up...because I forgot it was an I-Link....everything works great and got it back to plain old Nano2....THANKS FOR PROMPT REPLIES ON THIS MATTER.....:tickled_pink:
