Re: Using the remote to inter the keys

fix for coolsat 6000 channel scramble for dish manual key entry
go to menu,go to autoroll options,Set Echostar Autoroll to no,set Bev autoroll to no, then save changes. Now you will have to exit back and manually set your keys. to do this go to channel 8282. You will see edit keys top left corner. Below that you should see some boxes labled 1,2,3,etc. 1 should be nagravision

    cas should be NAgravision
Ident should be Dish network (0001)

I hope this will help and should get people back up and running it worked for the most

Re: Using remote to enter keys

im having big problems also. I just brought the coolsat 6000 and just down loaded the new bin. I down loaded channels but it scrambles. The onlly channels it did not scrambled were the local channels. If I have to put new keys in I know how to get to it but i am confuse of the keys. Do i use the dn keys or the bev keys. Because on my tv it looks like there are enough keys to use both. Can u please help. If this makes it easier, my father has a pansat and it works fine. I took his out to put mine in to make sure it works.
    Thank you please help

Re: Using remote to enter keys

The instructions for entering keys are listed above. The keys you need to enter depend on which satellites you're trying to watch. Echo 7 and 6,8 are DN, and Nimiq will be BEV. Has your father entered keys manually on his receiver before? He might be able to help you to enter the keys on yours.

Re: Using remote to enter keys

Still having problems. I get the quality and signal to full strength but i believe i might some settings off. Im still confuse of the keys. I know were to get the keys and enter it on 8282. but i know i might be putting the keys were it dont belong. for ex. the first line is 10 in it own box then goes f2 98 74 ... so on. The thing that confuses me is i have 4 lines and dn has 16 characters. There are two more lines left. I tried putting dn and bev and it all fit in the spaces. I know im not doing something right.

Please help this helpless confuse soul.
P.s my father who has a pansat does not know

How to enter keys on a coolsat 6000

    1. Either Enter 8282 on your remote, or you can hit the “Mute” button on your remote and then hit the “Exit” button.

    2. Then Making sure that you have the very top box says 1 Nagravision for Dish Net, or 2 Nagravision for BEV.

    3. To enter your keys, you can use the numbers on the number pad, and the info button to change letters. Hit the Info button until you get the letter you want, and then hit the Right Arrow to change slots.

    4. Or, you can hit the OK button and a new menu will pop up. Just use your arrows to select the numbers and letters you want and hit the OK button after each one. (Hit the exit button one time to get out of the little pop up screen.)

    5. Now scroll down to the data in line 10. Enter the first half of KEY 86 (or Key 00) in this line.

    6. The go to line 11 and enter the second half of Key 86 (or Key 00) in this line.

    7. Then go to line 20 and enter the first half of Key 96 (or Key 01) in this line.

    8. Next go to line 21 and enter the second half of Key 96 (or Key 01) in this line.

    9. Now hit the Exit button.

    10. When the next screen pops up asking if you want to save changes, Use your arrows and select “Yes” and hit the “OK” button.

    11. Now, change your channel, and watch TV.
