Hello everyone !:D
I am running a Coolsat 6000 and I appreciate all the hard work done by all you guys with the knowledge to keep us up to date with the new keys so quickly.
That being said I have a problem with reception from 119 Echostar. it is probably a dish alignment thing (hopefully). The picture pixelates badly on the lower numbered channels but is fine on the higher numbers. Also I am not getting all the channels when I auto search. The dish is in a tree at my neighbour's place so it is difficult for me to climb. Is there a easy way to align the dish. It is hard for me to tell which satellite I am on. Thanks of any info.:)

Could be a bad switch, lnb or cable. Hook up echostar 7 (119) directly to the receiver bypassing the switch if you can. If you signal strength goes up its the switch if not its could be your lnb or cabling. Lastly it could be the dish alignment. Easiest way I know how is a satellite finder or signal meter. If the dish is installed right adjusting it should be easy.
Here is a site where it tells your the right positioning for you dish. http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/

You can find signal meters on ebay here http://search.ebay.ca/satellite-finder_Satellite-Cable-TV-Accs_W0QQsacatZ61384

Hope this helps!

I would almost say that you have an alignment issue. any dish mounted to a tree, no mater how big will move. Can you move it to a more soled place, like a wooden post or your roof???

Thanks for all the info guys. I have been able to move the dish to the house since the lot next door got cleared and with re-alignment, I now have a perfect picture. Thanks again for all your efforts.
