Hey, 155 worked just fine, just like all the others. This time, it even blanked out just like all the others are complaining about. Can't imagine why, except that it blanked out (rebooted) just when the plot was getting interesting. Other than that, it works just fine.
Try a factory reset? I haven't, and can't imagine why it is still suggested unless the problem you have is specific to your box.
I did notice that B3V had moved some stuff around on the TPs, so I just re-scanned the bird and all was well again.

Ok, 155 works, but there are other issues. Some were complaining about the box blanking out on occasion, with no consistent timing. My 5K never did this until I loaded 155, so the bug here is in the bin. There is also a peculiar error message after loading that is consistent with other users from other boards, that being "Version [UNKNOWN] * detected" after loading. I have suspicions about this, but cannot elucidate at this time.
I did back down to 154 and got the same message, but as I said, it is only suspicion at this point. I'll know more after the wife stops watching for the evening as she tends to throw things when I try to make changes or fixes while she has command, and the remote.
In any case, 153, 154 and 155 all work for me. However, PPV is almost totally out at the moment. This is on both B3V and the other one. I use several birds to fill in the holes left by one or another and have had little trouble since I avoid 110 or 119. I say that because so many STBs are falling off the deep end while tuned to those birds.
I'm not really pleased with this board except to say there is at least one link here that I cannot find on others, so I stick to it. I'm a little peeved at the lack of security, since if you were to "gooooooogle' your name, it would show up as one of many posts to this site and clicking on the link provided by the search engine puts you through to the site without logging on. Bizzare it is.
So I just read a lot here and try not to get wrapped up in the threads.
The login is cookie based(all forums are)...if you uncheck the "remember me" box next to the login or logout when you're done on this site you would not be logged-in when you click through from Google. That is NOT a security issue! and is normal. If you go to another computer and do the same Google search you will still be a guest and have to login.
Secondly it is your USER NAME you can find on Google and NOT your REAL NAME to clear that up. No personal info is passed to Google. Only your user name and what you post. Nobody can tell who you are by your user name. This is normal when you let Google in to index a site. They grab all the info they can regardless. How else do you get people to the site other than Google? It got YOU here didn't it?
