The reason I started a new thread with this is so more people with the CS7100 will see it and will learn from my idiocy. Normally, when I do something really stupid, I would keep my mouth shut, but hopefully, this will keep someone from getting frustrated like I was the last couple of days.
I am a dumb***. The only thing wrong with my new 7100 (other than the fact the rs232 does not work) is the operator of the remote. My old pansat used to say "Picture loading" and after a few minutes, the picture would pop up. My Coolsat does not do that. It says "Scrambled Channel" instead. After letting it sit on a channel for about 10 minutes, the picture came through sharp and clear.
