I am thinking of buying tablet pc hp pavilion TX2000Z It has amd turion with processor speed 2.4ghz. I have heard that amd turion makes laptop heat up soon. Is that true? When I searched for the computers, I found that the intel processor were expensive than amd turion if they are of same processor. What is the reason for this?

Intel is a faster proccessor. AMD isn't a bad thing, but after a couple of years the computers fan does screw up. My fan has been making buzzing sounds since Nov and theres not a thing I can do about it, until I save up enough money to buy a new computer.

Intel does run cooler and doesn't overheat like most AMD processor. Intel is more expensive because it performs better even if the specs seemingly are the same (they are not). In addition, Intel is more in demand and hence the price will cost more. That said, AMD has a long history of charging less to stay competitive. Personally I use to be an AMD fan back in it's glory days but now, I wouldn't buy an AMD at all. If you want a better performing computer, go with Intel.

Intel are more ex because they perform much better AMD Turion 2.4 GHZ is approx = Intel 2.0 GHZ on WindowsAbout Heat issues i disagree i have a Turion X2 2.0GHZ TL - 6040 degrees idle 60 degrees Max load managebleReason i chose AMD was because i saved 600 SGD on a laptop of similar spec with IntelJust remember to Install AMD drivers from AMD website if you are using Windows XP works betterAnyway Processors nowadays are so fast you wun feel the difference

If u are gonna use Heavey graphics, then u can go for AMD. Because they support more on heavy graphics. Check the processor feature like 3D now , etc.... Intel is the standard and widely used processor and it will be compatible for almost all the applciations available.
