im looking at building a new computer with a AMD Phenom II X6 Processor (3.33ghz ?) and i was wondering if this would cause some games not to run due to the amount of cores used.thanks in advance!

It will be fine. The extra cores just sit there like your 4th, 5th and 6th wives while you're slamming the first three.

No, don't worry about it. It is just like saying you worked out to the point where you can lift huge weights but you can't lift 10 pounds now. If there is any reason the game won't work now, there are multiple ways to disable a couple cores and you can turn them back on later on. It is a very easy process too.
