The AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition or The AMD FX-8120 BE

I'm considering an upgrade, I just want to know what processor would be the best for my needs? I do a lot of gaming, a little bit of video encoding for my home 1080i video camera.

The AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE is approximately $200

The AMD FX-8120 BE is approximately $150

    Thanks

Good for you and for the sake of the game that's for sure ..... the best processor for any one's need will cost more than any one's budget like an arm and leg !!!!!!!!!!!plus in PC world each 6 months something new...how can we catch that? tell Bill Gates and his friends/buddies to slow down.

0ldjoblo you definitely got my attention, six cores for the price of four I believe that's worth looking into. Was the procedure for unlocking the extra to cores difficult?

I paired the AMD Phenom II X4 960T Zosma with a brand new Gigabyte motherboard ,, and a new case with power supply and nvidia graphics card ,, all new from newegg,,, I used 1 of the several hard drives I had,,,, and I loaded the OS from a Flash drive ,, My new build has no CD/DVD drive ,,, makes it kinda hard to load drivers ,, unless you put them on the flash drive aswell,,,

Unlocking the extra cores is done in the bios setup ,,, and it not 100% ,,,, google is your friend,,,,

    Keep on aRockin',,,,,,
