Hello, I've been trying to set up this multi-satellite dish for many weeks with no success! I have tried to center the FTA LNB for 97w but was unable to pick it up on either one of my two receivers the Limesat and the Satzen 500z. I tried using the AZ,EL & Skew calculations provided by dishpointers website for a multi-lnb dish for my zip code 60137 but that didn't work. I used the LNB freq. 10750 on both receivers for the FTA LNB because that's what's on the LNB itself.
Please if anyone knows how to set up this type of dish then help me out. I need to know the followings:
- The right AZ,EL & Skew for my zip code 60137
- Is 10750 is the right freq. For the 97w?
- When facing the dish in the center I have the FTA LNB for 97w, then 6 marks to the right of the center I have the LNB for 91w, 13 marks to the left of the center I have the LNB for 110w then 22 Marks to the left of the center I have the LNB for 118/119w. Is this the right order?

I appreciate any help in this regard...thank you all.

I looked at dishpointer.com & your El=39.9*, Az(mag)=202*, & dish skew=99.9* clockwise looking from the back of the dish. The dish must be turned clockwise looking from the back of the dish.

You want the dish to follow the arc of the satellites you want. So, looking from the back of the dish from your latitude & longitude(41.8N x 88.1W) 91 is highest in the arc with 97, 110 & 119 progressively lower above the horizon.

Your lnbs are setup opposite of what is needed. Looking from the BACK of the dish they should be arranged 119, 110, 97(middle) & 91 going from left to right. Being that 97 is a linear bird you need to get the dish skew right, the others are circular & could be at any skew & still work. But, you need to find the "sweet spot" for each satellite by moving them left/right until you get best quality %. I wouldn't know how many marks to set the lnbs to start.

A good TP frequency for 97W is 12153 H, SR 20000, Russia Today. Your '10750' is your LNB antenna setup frequency in the receiver menu. Most linear lnbs use this freq. Eagle Aspen(dtv) circular polarity lnbs use the same 10750. Are all your lnbs like this?

I've never owned a Limesat nor Satzen receiver & so you must do a little menu exploration. BTW, you'll need a dish at least 30" diameter to get 118W, looking at it straight on. It's a weak bird compared to 119. Hopefully your E85 dish is big enough.

Good luck & hope this helps.:)

Thank you so much for your help. I will try the new settings you provided me and I will post my results as soon as I get a chance :)

You're welcome! Be sure to set up each lnb one at a time for peaking quality with your stb. Then add your diseqc switch.

A word of advice. I noticed your same question on another site, word for word. It would be wise to read forum rules and think before asking anything like this over there.
