Hello and thanks in advance,

Recently I switched my ISP from DSL to cable. For lack of a long explanation I needed the 30GB capability plus switching to VOIP with sprint because they gave me the Airwave and Phone Connect Boxes needed because of signal to tower issues and now full bars on the cells in the house and $19.95 monthly nationwide AIO unlimited VOIP using our own DECT 6.0 phones.

Anyway back to the cable, I thought what the heck… So, I ran a splitter and a separate coax to my TV’s coax input and done a scan. Vole… There were 75 analog and 45 digital channels scanned. Some are in the decimal range of the TV tuner SD & HD are coming in most of which are basic cable, but great considering I only signed up for internet service only!

My question is “What else can I do with the signal?” Is there a STB that I can use as a decoder/descrambler? Would I need to put a low pass filter inline to defeat any pinging? I haven’t found much in the way of cable STB’s on the internet, but maybe I haven’t dug deep enough.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
