I am pondering with regards to the read and write data transfer speeds of SSDs...

Which one is best, should I purchase an ssd such as:

Crucial 128GB Real SSD C400 having:
Read speed of: 355MB/sec
Write speed of: 140MB/sec

or

OCZ vertex 2 120gb which has:
Read speed of: 285MB/sec
Write speed of: 275MB/sec

Crucial C400 features truly amazing read transfer rate yet very small write speeds and vertex 2 boasts both read and write speeds rates as practically the same.

Is it better to purchase the Vertex II which has close read and write transfer speeds or the Crucial C400.

Its only going to be used for playing computer games and some programing.

Most likely the read rate come in to play more often however, the write rate is likewise significant. You should have a harmony amongst read/write speed rates and the 128gig Crucial SSD is not high enough on the write speed. Unquestionably the OCZ SSD...

If you ever browse online review articles of SSDs, most of the SSDs sold are typically dying shortly after a few months.

I believe the SSD market is really a scam for taking buyers hard earned money, till the next computer tech advancement is released like SATA 3.

This is a farce much like the oil war and peak oil(Google: Pastor Lindsey Williams ), as a measure to entice customers to throw away $150 to $250 for a thing that might boot up thier computer faster for just a few weeks and then suddenly die...

Just another lesson in life that it really is hard to succeed your initial year and battle against opponents which happen to have 25 years in the business.

Just order yourself a new 2TB or 3TB 64mb cache Western Digital hard disk drive, and create A few partitions into it, make C drive 200GB or so and then create D drive the remainder of the partion for storage.

And then install your operating system on the 200GB and save computer games, photos and videos together with any other documents you have on the storage drive...

This is going to keep your Operating system fairly quick for a long period of time...
