The memory cache in Windows XP determines the size of system files. The memory cache increase is typically appropriate only if a computer is used as a server to enhance file transfers. It is achieved by the activation of the System Cache option in the Control Panel.

Instructions

1.

* 1

Log in to the Windows XP administrator account and click "Start." Click "Control Panel" and switch to the "Category" view on the left panel. Then click on "Performance and Maintenance."
* 2

Click System > Advanced. Under Performance, click Settings > Advanced.
* 3

Under Memory Usage, select the radio button "System Cache" and click "OK." Click "OK" again to restart the computer.
