Wireless cards are notoriously finicky in Linux. However, Linux doesn't have a set of driver downloads like Windows does. From a quick google search, the Acer uses an Atheros chipset. Check the package manager for the ath5k module (at least that's what it's called in Ubuntu). Hopefully that will work.As far as sound goes, I don't know how to help you. The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture drivers work with pretty much every sound card out there. Try and find your sound card model and check to see if it's supported. If it's only supported in the newest release (like the Sound Blaster X-Fi), just compile the driver yourself. The build process is automated so it should only be a couple steps.
