im switching from ati 4850 to nvidia gtx 260 do i install nvidia drivers before i put card in system?

what should my process be of changing to nvidia product.1st install nvidia drivers before i put card in pc?

as far as i know you shouldn't have to install the drivers before. Just install the card and then install them.

Deinstall the ATI drivers and switch back to plain VGA mode, then install the new card and install the new nVidia drivers.
