how to install latest nvidia drivers on linux manually?

i'm kind of stuck and need some help on how to do this. i've looked around on how to do this, but none of the tutorials worked. please make it simple because i'm no computer genius. step by step instructions are very much appreciated.

The best way is to use your update method from within the system. If you insist on doing it manually, nvidia's website has the directions. There is no "simpler" method.

easiest way is update your packages and choose the latest driver,why would you want to install the latest ones ?keep using the tried and tested ones, its easier as there really is no benefit
