tks for reply on you tube it shows taking out a smaller module like the sk200 vs max hd module do i need to do this tks again
its probably just like the board that came in my VS9000HD i had to remove it to install 8PSK board. it plugged into the same place as the tuner board. there was no way to have both boards hooked up.the tuner board never did work and was a useless part far as i am concerned.i keep mine in a box in case it ever has a function in the future.you would think i-link would have a 8psk for there unit like VS,SV,Captain has there own boards wont work elsewhere.seems strange it works with a nfusion 8psk.perhaps that's why there are issues?
ILink found no reason to mfg their own board as the VS 8PSK Board and the NFusion 8PSK Board both work in the ILink 9500HD units.
where you get that info?? thats like saying chevy sold a new 4x4 truck but found no reason for making a transmission cause ford and dodge transmissions will both fit...lol. snowbird told us her nfusion 8psk board works in vs9000 and il 9500. so that means both the newest HD units are using VS 8psk board. the original 4 HD boxes had there own 8psk boards not compatible with each other.VS,SV,Pansat.Captain all had there own 8psk cards. The only reason nfusion and ilink are feeding there compititon (VS) for the 8psk board is they dont have the smarts or tec. to make there own.why make a box that wont work unless you buy another companys parts. not a smart move on there part. but we have gotten off topic on the original question.
What is the point of having this SK200 board in there, does it work
with some other board rather than the Nfusion 8PSK, if so does
anyone know which one?
Excellent info guys and gals! I am thinking about a 9500, this helps a lot.
