STATEMENT FROM KBOX SUPPORT GROUP

Dear Friends in the FTA Community,

We would like to take this time to thank everyone for all your support so far, and to re-affirm our commitment to you.

In a very short time KBOX has quickly become one of the hottest new boxes around. KBOX is the new kid on the block, and everyone is turning their heads to look.
Part of the reason for our success is due to our group's experience working with industry leaders. We honour our lineage and pay respects to other support teams who came before: Pansat, Coolsat, Viewsat, and nFusion (among others).

It is no secret that KBOX borrowed from the best of the best in making the first box, the K1 Hero's. As with all new technology, K1 was born from the pieces of the past.

You may even recognize that the K1 shares many similarities with VisionSat's IV-200 and Coolsat's 6100. It's true that the factory for those units is the same South Korean manufacturer. In fact, this manufacturer is a leading maker of receivers across Europe and Asia as well.
There has been some confusion recently about the K1's origin. To make a long story short, the explanation that we received is that the manufacturer was stuck with a surplus of unfinished parts. These receivers were never finished until the KBOX Team approached the manufacturer (approx. 4 months ago).

In their haste, the leftover chassis and components were recycled. Unfortunately some signs of the previous brand markings remained. This error is evident on a small number of K1's from the first batch shipped from the factory. This mistake is deeply regrettable, but appears to be isolated. It seems standard practice nowadays for many South Korean manufacturers to outsource their parts and re-use STB designs across various markets.

From inside sources at KBOX Team, K2 development is well under way and promises to be a completely new architecture designed from the ground up. The information we received suggests that the next model is 100% KBOX Engineering.
Anyway, we do not know what the final hardware specs are yet, but rest assured, KBOX Support Group will get behind KBOX all the way. We'll be the gas powering K1 and K2 to the next summit and beyond!

THANK YOU ALL
-KBOX Support Group
