When I power unit on it alternates flashing 0000 then boot then a colon and repeats forever.

I tried leaving it unplugged for over two weeks, still same result. I hooked up a null modem cable and it will download s/w and count down till it gets to A799 then flashes e010. Tried several factory bins, all stop loading and flash e010 error then loader stops. I am using download s/w(not upload) on the loader program and assume that is the correct setting. I tried different baud rates, Tried plugging factory bin usb in front and back and all suggestions that I read on forums. Any other ideas?

1. Take the Ethernet loop cord and join the lan input with the Wifi input

2. Install the wifi antenna on the back of the box

3. Search for wireless networks on a wireless computer and you will find 3G router which is not a router it is your limesat.

4. Connect to 3G router (your limesat) and right click and select status then properties.

5. Select the network tab, and highlight the Internet protocol Version 4 (TCP/Ipv4) and select properties again. Here you will assign a temporary static IP address between the limesat and the computer for configuration.

6. Type the router IP 192.168.16.2

7. Fill in the Subnet IP 255.255.255.0 and the Gateway IP will be 192.168.16.1 click ok and close

8. Then open up your web browser and type 192.168.16.2

9. You will be asked for a user name admin and a password admin

10. Once you are logged in select the mode tab and then select wireless client mode

11. Click apply and you’re almost done.

12. Return your computers previous settings to enable normal internet usage by entering wireless connections available (notice the 3G router is now gone) Select and connect to your regular network.

13. Right click and select properties. Select TCP/Ipv4 properties

14. Select Obtain address automatically to re-establish your network connection (if you have a static IP return to your previous settings)

15. Reboot your limesat from the back

16. Enter the Menu /configuration/network settings Here you will see the IP you have assigned the limesat 192.168.16.2 change your DHCP to static and your done

Ok

You are saying that the ip config is wrong and wont let it boot to start?

I have a wireless device that has an ethenet port. Per instructions I plug that into ethenet jack on Limesat, turn unit on and look for wireless connection named 3g, then follow rest of instructions, correct?

Thanks

Still does not work. Any other support anywhere?

Try this.---------------------------------------------------------

1) Start the Limesat_Loader program on Computer and set the com port.Use Null Modem Cable,Hook up the cable to the RS232 Port of the receiver.

2) Select file to you want to load. I suggest you use the Factory Bin File v1.03.

3) While holding in the front panel power button reboot box and hold power
button on box in for at least 5 seconds while rebooting.

4) boot should freeze in display.

5) Press start on loader and file should begin transfer. When countdown is less than 4 digits numbers are prefixed by letter A will appear.

6) When the display hits zero it should change to -E5-.

7) WAIT !!!! The Display on loader should be at 90% at this point.

8) The receiver should then start counting down prefixed with a "P".
That is for 'PROGRAMMING'.

9) When the receiver displays -End- wait a few seconds, look at loader program
which should now be complete, and then reboot box.

Let us know how it goes.

Why would this work.?????
He can't load any bins cause his receiver's boot file is corrupted.

I had similar problems but leaving the STB powered off and unplugged for more 24 hours works for me. It is annoying as if I ever physically unplug the power cord I have to do this all over again. If I load a factory file it boots every time but that doesn't really do me any good for actually watching TV.

So ----just leave the receiver ON 24/7 ------I leave all my receivers ON constantly.

Only time I turn them off is if a hard reboot is needed after loading a bin file.

I have given up. I tried several forums, all the known fixes and it still will not count down to zero and reset . It just gives an error of E010.

Thanks to all here that tried to help. The few months I had it working I really liked the unit. I use a ps now and would like to try new HD unit but too many $ to try Limesat again.
