Will a DDR5 graphics card work with a DDR3 motherboard?

I am going to build my own computer and I have searched on Tigerdirect. But I can only find DDR3 motherboards and DDR5 graphic cards that are decent.

The DDR5 memory on the video card has nothing to do with the DDR3 memory on the motherboard. So if the motherboard has a PCI-E slot and the video card is PCI-E, then it will work.

Depends on the PCI slot. GDDR is backwards compatible so a GDD3 graphics card will work on a GDD3 PCI slot but not the other way around.
