Fantasia gives impromptu performance

LAS VEGAS, -- Fantasia Barrino, the former "American Idol" winner who attempted suicide earlier this month, says she is bouncing back in Las Vegas.
Barrino made an impromptu appearance at a Las Vegas nightclub Friday, and performed four songs, People magazine said.
She was at the Rain Nightclub celebrating the release of her newest album, "Back To Me," but her performance was a surprise to those in attendance. She spoke about her recent suicide attempt.
"They thought I was finished, they thought I was done," she told the crowd. "I would never ever stop, I don't care what no one says."
"I was in the hospital but now I bounce back," Barrino said. "Don't ever let your haters stop you. Don't ever let them stop your destiny."
Other guests at the nightclub were actresses Demi Moore and Soliel Moon Frye.
Earlier Friday Barrino dined at N9NE Steakhouse with hotel co-owner Gavin Maloof; while dining, Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps stopped by to say hello, People said.
