Police: Car burglar left phone behind
NAPLES, Fla., (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida say a woman suspected of burglarizing several unlocked cars left her cellphone in one of them.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office said Amanda Minerva Gallegos, 18, left her cellphone in a car she rifled along with Jessie Cervantez, 22, during their alleged May 27-28 crime spree, the Naples (Fla.) Daily News reported Monday.

Investigators said pictures on the phone matched the suspects' driver's license photos and a 7-Eleven security camera recorded the pair charging hundreds of dollars on a stolen bank card.

A clerk at the store identified the two suspects as having cashed multiple stolen checks at the establishment.

Gallegos and Cervantez were arrested and charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of petty theft and criminal mischief. Cervantez was also charged with grand theft and nine counts of cashing bad checks.
