TV auction includes 'Bozo' memorabilia
FRANKFORT, Ill., (UPI) -- An Illinois man is auctioning off TV memorabilia including props from "The Bozo Show" and a package of Charmin toilet paper signed by spokesman Mr. Whipple.

Stephen Hofer, 70, of Frankfort, is selling a collection that includes buckets from "The Bozo Show" and a puppet believed to be an original Garfield Goose from Chicago-area children's program "Garfield Goose and Friends," the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday.

Hofer, a retired Chicago State University communications professor whose father worked as a mechanical engineer for the Farnsworth Television and Radio Corp. in Indiana, said the items were previously on display at his Farnsworth museum, which he started in 1991 in Fort Wayne and closed last year.

The auction also includes board games based on "The Dukes of Hazzard," "MASH" and "Welcome Back, Kotter."

"We have items from 'The Green Hornet,' 'The Lone Ranger,' 'Zorro,' 'Have Gun -- Will Travel,' 'The A-Team' and 'Happy Days,'" Hofer said.

The auction will be carried out on video Saturday by littlejohnauctions.com.
