Stylists create hair cars, motorcycles
TROY, Mich., Organizers of the 25th annual Hair Wars showcase in Michigan said more than 300 hair models displayed cutting edge styles from more than 40 top stylists.
The Sunday event at the Met Hotel in Troy, this year dubbed "Hair Stars & Hot Cars," featured real and synthetic hair creations, including styles mimicking exhaust pipes, cars and motorcycles, The Detroit News reported Monday.
"They're more than just stylists," organizer David Humpries said. "They're hair entertainers."
Humpries said stylists came from as far away as Los Angeles and Pittsburgh to show off their creations. He said next year's Hair Wars will be taken on a tour of the United States and Caribbean islands.
