Newbie: Pansat 2500a not working. Should I update?

Hello Everyone. I've used the Pansat 2500a for over a year manually entering the keys simply cause I didn't know how to upgrade my receiver. Few days ago, I am not getting any programming... satellite signal is good, but no programming coming in. I assume I should update the bin file to the latest....
What should I be upgrading to? 2500 to 2700 Conversion? I have downloaded a bunch of files, but unsure where to start... Your help is greatly appreciated.

You are pretty much SOL for the 2500a. BL stopped supporting it about a month or so ago. There is not enough memory in the unit to support the new BINS. With the new PID out also, entering the keys manually will not give you much programming either.

From all I have heard, the 2500 is no longer supported. They say there is not enough memory in the unit to support the needed code for the 2500 to work. Time to upgrade...

yes you can convert your pansat / fortec to 2700 model go here and red about it more before you do any think

Darklist, I thought with the newest bins out now even took up more memory than the upgrade gave? That is why I had made that statement. Am I mis-informed?
