If you loaded 090227PGM and your receiver died try this to fix it

How to fix the problems connected with the latest Platinum files.
OK, I will try to help explain how to fix your problems, it seems you’re not the only member who has this problem as I did on platinum I flashed myself and almost didn’t get it fixed, only after several hours of working on the problem I finally found out just how to repair the problem.
Now, if the loader will not connect try this to repair the problem.
Since your LOADER II Program is causing problems you need to fix that first. If it says this: (resending zndit) after you click load the file, and turn on the unit from the I/O switch in back it’s because the loader itself is not connected.
Now how to fix this: first off click on the (TOOLS) a box will open, next click on (CONFIGURATION) and check to see what (COMM PORT) you are connected too. If correct (OK), and next click on (TOOL) again and click on (CONNECT), now if it connects you will see it highlighted in black, if not it will tell you so, is no connection go to (MY COMPUTER) right click on your mouse next click on (MANAGE) a small box will appear. Next click on (DEVICE MANAGER) next scroll over to (COMM PORT SETTINGS) and select the Comm port you can uses, both of these Comm ports have to match, once selected try connecting again on loader 2 program, this will clue the problem with (SENDING ZNDIT) and next you can download files again.
Now if you PC and Null cable is working correctly do the following instructions.
NOTE: Make sure you have deleted the bad file from your computer soas to not corrupted the next flash.
With the loader 2 program again, so next only try loading the (factory file v.278) nothing else at this point. Once you've got it loaded it may have to sit for a couple minutes before it will finally reboot, it may say on the front panel: (END) and the reboot and go to (0000) if so that’s good, turn the power off now.
Next load the fix version released by the Viewsat coders (090227P-1PGM) file ONLY!!! this is very important if you try anything else at this point the unit will not work again and you will have to start over.
Now flash ony the Platinum Fix file (090227P-1) at this point, and do it ony once, next allow the unit to reboot, it also may take a few minutes, but at this point do nothing!!
After it reboots, it may also say (END) or (00.00) now, if so good, turn the unit OFF.
Now at this point it might not seem like its fixed, but you can now hook the unit up to the TV set and turn it on, again it will need to reboot before it’s finally fixed. Also now it will display only the (Parental Password box), so next enter (OOOO) from the remote and you should be up, next make sure you go to MENU, Parental Settings, and turn OFF both.
So how you or unit is back up and running, check all settings, and you should be fine. Good luck this is what I had to do to fix my platinum.
