resetting a printer's ink levels is usually done whenever a refilled ink cartridge is used because the printer software do not have an actual way of measuring a cartridge's remaining ink.there are basically two steps in resetting a printer's ink levels:1. resetting the printer (hardware reset) - how do you do a hardware reset for a pixma ip2700? (ex. for ip1200: press and hold power button, press resume button twice, release power button)2. resetting the software - is there a software (like iptool) that can do this? based on the one i found iptool works only up to ip2500 and ip2600.thanks in advance.Ü

It can't be done via software. The printer's firmware reconizes electronic signatures of cartridges, nothing you can do (short of flashing you printers bios, which will render it a door stop) is going to get that cartridge to recognize as full.
