how come when i attempted a partial reset of my hp printer it won't turn back on?

originally i went to the site to find out why the print cartridge light kept flashing although it wasn't empty but after the rest i've tried everything to get it to turn back on but it won't.

I do not know what a partial reset is, but my suggestion (if you haven't already) is to unplug your printer from the power supply and let it sit for about 30 minutes. If this doesn't work you may have to reinstall the printers install disc. It sounds more like a power supply problem. If I had a little more information. Like what exactly happened and when and your printer model. it would help. Usually the lights are flashing because you are low or out of ink, but since you tried a partial reset of your printer, I am not sure what happened after that.
