2 cloves garlic
¼ cup lemon juice
14 oz (400g) canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans)—rinsed and drained
½ cup tahini

Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until smooth, scraping the sides occasionally.
Variations: If you like a spicier hummus, add a small red chili (chopped) or a pinch of cayenne pepper, or try a little cumin for a more exotic variation.

This is a different type of "hummus".I made it and also added some jalepeno peppers(not required but damn good!!)
Green Bean and Garlic Dip
Makes approx 2 servings(one for me LOL) family size ingredients on right

1/3 pound green beans cut off ends 1 pound green beans cut off ends

2 cloves garlic, minced 6 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder

1-1/2 tablespoons tahini 4-1/2 tablespoons tahini

1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari 3 teaspoons soy sauce or tamari

1 jalapeno seeded and cut into strips (optional) or 1 scotch bonnet(my fav)

Steam green beans for 10 minutes in about a cup of water until tender, yet firm. Rinse beans under cold water when done. Meanwhile, place remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor. Add cooked beans. Blend 2 minutes or until creamy. Serve with crackers. Also not required but can be substituted is Sri Racha chinese hot sauce available @ the market on Ottawa Street in the back left corner clear bottle bright red sauce and green lid...This is in my opinion the best all-in-one sauce I have ever eaten and trust me when I say I've tried a whole whack of hot sauce in my days and this is the BEST tasting sauce that will not make you sing the old Johnny Cash tune "ring of fire". Hope you all enjoy and please let us all know if you like it!
