CS7K DN3 Setup Method

Here's a method for those of you having issues getting DN3 running or testing to see if your DN3 is actually working.
Most channels are not working with DN3 yet, however lots D!sh has been working lately, B3v not so much.
Have patience when channel changing - there is a 5-10 second delay.

1. Factory Default your Coolsat
2. Choose Language etc, then cancel Auto detect
3. Exit to Main Menu
4. Disable Autoroll for both providers
5. Enter 8282, clear all keys to 00's
6. Soft-off Coolsat with remote
7. Soft-on Coolsat with remote
8. Enter 8282 and verify keys are 00's
9. Verify Autoroll is off for both providers
10. Soft-off Coolsat with remote
11. Power-off Coolsat with rear switch
12. Connect Updated, Powered & Ethernet connected DN3
13. Power-on Coolsat with rear switch
14. Setup LNB settings and scan your sats

*Must be running v148 or better.

ALSO

Most straight DN3s are shipping with a null modem adapter. To update the DN3 follow these steps.

1) Connect the null modem adapter to the DN3
2) Connect the whole assembly to the com port on your computer.
3) Start the update software and click Download Program
4) Plug the DN3 power supply into an outlet to turn it on
5) While the DN3 is being updated, the numbers below the com port will go up. When the download is complete it will show DONE in the same area. If the download doesn't start, repeat step 3.

If your DN3 did NOT come with a null modem adapter, you need to get a null modem cable and use that in step 1. DO NOT use both a null modem cable AND the provided adapter. If you do, you will not be able to update the DN3.

Once your DN3 is updated, remove the adapter and put it in a safe place in case there is another update somewhere along the line. The adapter is NOT NEEDED to connect the DN3 to the 7000.
