[Attention] Invalid MAC Address Issues

For the past little while I have run across many ppl that upon Clicking Search on Wiznet get a MAC Address in the Boardlist that is not Valid.

I-Hubs and Newlinks use a Specific Range Of MAC Address and the 1st 3 Pairs of Hex Numbers must be 00:90:BC:XX:XX:XX as the are displayed in the Board List of the Wiznet Screen
For some reason not totally clear yet some I-Hubs and Newlinks are displayes values much different than these and renders the Adapter useless.

When the Search in The Wiznet Window is pressed, directly below the Ver for I-hub or Newlink is the Board list and if any number different than the one indicated above is an invalid MAC Address

Some example are but not not limited to these:

53:A4:BE:XX:XX:XX or 38:AE:2C:XX:XX:XX

What we need to find is a way to reset these Values to the Original values of 00:90:BC:XX:XX:XX but so far none has been found.

There have been a few attempts at this one being The Shorting out of 1 or 2 Pins on the Wiznet Chip.. Pin 1 to Ground, or Pin 59 to Ground and also Pin 1 to Pin 59. I will post a diagram of these a bit later. But not of these different procedures have worked.

I believe what we need a is Tool for Modifying or entering a MAC address.

I have seen these but they are for a Wiznet 200 CHip.

I will try to find the actual Programing tool File and guides to have available.

I was hoping to find a Programing tool for the Wiz 5100 CHip but have not been successful so far.

I will post a Screen shot of one found by a member when he went searching this one. Here it the looks of the scrfeen it may do what it is I am trying to do, that being Modify a MAC address so that the 1st 3 Pairs of Values are what we required I do not believe the last 3 Pairs matter but would need testing.

The MAC Address in this Photo is of course not what we are looking for but seems like we should be able to input whatever we chose to. So I am looking for some input on this.

The Other Problem I am facing is that I do not have any Invalid I-Hubs or Newlinks to test this Programer on. I did find this MAC Tool all that needs doing now is testing it.
End C/P

Hope this help!!
