ARLINGTON, Texas, (UPI) -- Elvis Andrus went 3-for-5 and drove in the winning run in the Texas Rangers' 8-7 victory over the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday.

The Rangers rattled off a dozen hits, including three home runs, and swept the two-game set between the American League West rivals.

Michael Young, Ian Kinsler and former Angel Vladimir Guerrero knocked the ball out of the park for the Rangers.

Los Angeles had nine hits, including two-run homers by Juan Rivera and Torii Hunter.

The game came down to the sixth inning when Texas snapped a 7-7 tie. Andrus doubled and then scored the go-ahead run on Young's single off Trevor Bell (1-1).

Darren O'Day (1-1) was credited with the win for his scoreless inning of relief and Neftali Feliz got the save. Starter C.J. Wilson, who came in leading the American League with a 1.48 ERA, lasted 4 1/3 innings and gave up seven runs on seven hits and a walk.

Angels starter Jered Weaver gave up seven runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings.
