NHL: Chicago 4, San Jose 2
SAN JOSE, Calif., (UPI) -- Jonathan Toews ran his scoring streak to 11 games Tuesday to help the Chicago Blackhawks beat San Jose 4-2 in Game 2 of the NHL Western Conference finals.

Toews had an assist and a power-play goal to help Chicago take a 2-0 lead in the series, which moves to Chicago for Game 3 Friday.

Dustin Byfuglien, Andrew Ladd and Troy Brouwer also scored for the Hawks. Antti Niemi made 25 saves on 27 shots. Defenseman Duncan Keith had two assists and put three shots on goal.

Patrick Marleau scored both San Jose goals. Evgeni Nabokov made 18 saves.

Chicago had built a 3-0 lead by the time the Sharks got on the board with Marleau's first goal on a power play midway through the second period.

Brouwer deflected a hard shot by Niklas Hjalmarsson past Nabokov at 6:18 of the third period to make it 4-1. Marleau closed out the scoring with 4:28 left in regulation.

The game ended with some roughhousing and a flurry of penalties but most of the disappointed Sharks fans headed for the exits rather than stick around for the action.
