MLB: Colorado 5, Milwaukee 4

DENVER, A three-run homer by Troy Tulowitzki in the eighth inning Friday rallied the Colorado Rockies to a 5-4 decision over Milwaukee.

Milwaukee starter Yovani Gallardo took a shutout into the seventh inning, having given up four hits over the first six frames while the Brewers built a 4-1 lead.

Ryan Spilborghs produced an RBI double in the seventh to draw the Rockies within two and they then staged their rally against reliever Kameron Loe (2-3) in the eighth.

Todd Helton walked off Gallardo to open the Colorado eighth and Carlos Gonzalez moved Helton to third with a double.

Loe (2-3) was then summoned from the bullpen and the first man he faced was Tulowitzki. After looking at a strike, Tulowitzki sent his 11th homer of the season to left field to put the Rockies in front.

Taylor Buchholz (1-0) got the win by working the eighth. Huston Street needed only eight pitches to get through a perfect ninth for his eighth save.
