TAMPA, Fla., -- Steven Stamkos notched a pair of goals and Dan Ellis posted his second shutout of the year Tuesday in the Tampa Bay Lightning's 4-0 win over Toronto.
Stamkos collected his 12th and 13th goals of the season, tops in the league, and Nate Thompson and Dominic Moore added markers as Tampa Bay snapped a three-game losing streak.
Ellis turned aside all 28 shots he saw to collect his 12th career shutout and was particularly tough in the second frame, when he stopped all 13 Toronto scoring attempts.
The struggling Maple Leafs, meanwhile, dropped their sixth straight, going 0-for-5 on the power play. Kris Versteeg managed four shots, all of which were stopped.
Jean-Sebastian Giguere made 21 saves on 25 shots for the Leafs.
