Feature on Sonicview 360 Elite Setup Guide for pvr functions.


There are Five Menus that get you up and running in the areas you desire:


1. usb Drives: here you can browse the files of the usb hard drive or thumb drive and manage them by:

- Playback of recorded video files.
- Rename or delete files.
- Make new folder or move files.
- Update the stb with new Firmware or channel list.

(Note the functions at the bottom of the window which are: Drive Menu; Format; Scan Disk; Safe Remove).

A very important procedure that must be stressed is:

you should always do a Save Remove before disconnecting usb drives from the stb. If you disconnect the drives without safe remove...data can be lost or damaged.


2. pvr settings:
- In the Setup of the pvr you start by:

a. Selecting Time Shift Start for Automatic or Manual operation;
b. Select Default Record Time to Default duration of the recording.
3. MP3
- You have an MP3 storage capability.
- In this Menu, only folders and MP3 files are displayed in the file list. All other files are hidden.


- This Menu helps you easily find the MP3 file you want:

a. Select the file you want and press OK.
b.The detailed information (ID3 tag) of the file are shown in the small frame.
c. If you want to stop playback, press stop button.
d. If you want to listen to the next or previous song during playback, press FF or REW.
4. jpeg

- This Menu helps you find the jpeg file you want to see.
- Only folder and jpeg files are displayed in the file list...all other files are hidden.

- To activate these files, do the following:

a. Select the file you want and press the OK key.
b. To stop the display, press the stop key...Duh?
c. To see next or previous picture, press FF or REW key.
5. Play List
- You can select MP3 or jpeg at any time using the play list...to make a play list, do this:
a. Press the Add key in the Play List Menu.
b. Using CH Up/Down, Vol Up/Down keys, input the name of this play list and Press OK.
c. Using the Add or OK key, add MP3/jpeg files you want in the play list editor.
d. Press the Menu or Exitkey to save play list in external drives.

- To use the play list that you just made:

a. Go to My Play List folder from the root folder.
b. Find and select the play list you want to playback.
c. Press OK key to start slide show or MP3 play.
d. If you want to return to My Play List folder during playback, press the Menu key.

(Note that you can edit the play list using the edit button also)
Recording

- You should format your usb drive with fat 32 type for recording and playback.

1. Press the Record key to record the current channel.
2. When the recording starts, the record icon is displayed on the right-upper side.
3. Press the stop key to stop recording...Duh?
Dual Recording

If you change the channel while recording and press the record key, you can record Dual at the same time using the process described in Recording.

Then you will see two record icons on the right-upper side.
Stop the Recording

1. If you press thestop key,stop recording pop-up appears.
2. Using Up/Down keys you can choose the channel to be stopped.
3. If you stop the recording the record icon will disappear.
4. You can reconfigure the recording parameters such as Duration and End Time.

Playback

With this function you can manage the recorded files and directories in the external usb drives
Play

- You can select folder and AV files that you want to manage:

1. Press the OK key and the AV file plays back.
2. stop key:Stop the pay back AV file and return it to the starting point or current channel.
3.pause key: Pause the play back AV file...press it twice and the payback starts again.

Rewind and Fast Forward

During playback, you can use the Rewind key to speed settings of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64...the higher the number, the faster the speed.

Also, you can forward the playback by using the Fast Forward key in the same manner as above.

Slow

Use the Slow key to watch playback in slow speed
Bookmarks and Repeat

- To watch the AV file from the scene that you want, you can point the spot using the Bookmark key.

- You can bookmark a maximum of 20 spots in any one AV file.
- When you want to repeat the AV file from the bookmark spot, press the Jump key.

- You can also playback the part of an AV file repeatedly as you mark.
- When the AV file is played back, you can mark 2 points using the Repeat key.

Time Shift

- Here is what makes it all worth while.

- You may pause, rewind and go fast forward on the live program with Time Shift function.

- This is accomplished by buffering the program you are watching to the external usb drive.

- So , When you record two programs at a time, time-shift will be disabled as no more recording allowed.

- By default, approximately a maximum of 2 hours buffering is supported.
- Two Modes start time-shift...Automatic and Manual
-- In automatic mode time-shift starts to buffer programs automatically whenever you turn on the receiver or change the channel.

-- In manual mode, time-shift starts to buffer the program when you press Time -shift key (Blue key).
