AMC-21 Online, Ariane Launch Next Month, ViaSat
SES AMERICOM said the AMC-21 satellite is now operational and delivering content and connectivity for broadcasters and mobile broadband service providers. Anchor tenant PBS, which serves 356 public television stations, has transitioned its complete programming lineup to AMC-21, the company said --- Arianespace said its Ariane 5 ECA will carry Eutelsat's Hot Bird 9 and W2M satellites during a launch that's scheduled to take place during the last week of November --- ViaSat and Lufthansa Technik AG said they are collaborating on an end-to-end, ground to cabin broadband IP networking and entertainment system for business aircraft. The system combines ViaSat mobile broadband satellite networking with the Lufthansa Technik Nice cabin management and in-flight entertainment system.
