PROGRAMMING: DIRECTV Mas Gets Telecentro, TiVo and Jaman

DIRECTV Mas, the Spanish- and English-language programming service from the satellite TV giant, has launched Telecentro, a Central American Spanish-language channel that offers 24-hour news, entertainment and sports. Telecentro offers content from stations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama --- TiVo said its subscribers can now download foreign and independent movies to a broadband connected DVR. The film titles are available from Jaman.com, an internet movie service.
