Directed Electronics Exits Sat Radio, Doyle Promoted at DIRECTV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CE company Directed Electronics on Wednesday announced plans to exit the satellite radio business in early 2009 and return to its roots providing security and entertainment products. The company's current distribution agreement with Sirius XM expires on Jan. 31, 2009, and will not be renewed, the company said. --- The board of directors for DIRECTV approved the promotion of Patrick Doyle from senior vice president to executive vice president. Doyle will remain chief financial officer, the company said in a regulatory filing.
