Actor Nicholas Brendon gets probation
LOS ANGELES, (UPI) -- Actor Nicholas Brendon has pleaded no contest to charges in a scuffle with police and was given probation, Los Angeles prosecutors said.
The Los Angeles City Attorney's office said Brendon, who starred in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was given a 1-year suspended sentence, 36 months probation and will have to spend 10 days on a state highway work crew.
On top of that, TMZ.com said Sunday, Brendon may not drink in public during the 36 months and must attend anger-management class.
The sentence stemmed from a March altercation with Los Angeles police in Venice that ended with him being Tasered and then arrested.
Brendon pleaded guilty Friday to four misdemeanor counts, including vandalism and resisting arrest.
