I bought the Samsung LED Series 7 Television recently and it came with 4 HDMI ports [v1.3] and one Component In.. [Note: There is no component out].
I already own a Sony Home Theater set [DAV-DZ720] which comes with a DVD player and Amplifier built-in along with 5 speaker set. This has a HDMI out [v1.1] and Component Out.
I connected the TV and the DVD with the HDMI cable... I could play the DVDs when I change the mode to AV in the TV.. However, I couldnt use the Home Theater system's speakers to play normal TV.. though I have connected both using HDMI.
I found out that there is a setting in TV to choose the speaker to either TV speaker or External speaker.. Even after choosing the External speaker, no sound comes out from the speakers..
Not sure of the problem.. Any help would really be appreciated.
