A woman was shot Tuesday night at the South Brook Apartments in south Nashville during an attempted robbery.
Two victims, one male and female were approached while walking from their car, when a man armed with a hand gun approached them and demanded their property. During the robbery attempt, the suspect fired one round into the air and then shot the female victim one time in her leg. After shooting the victim, the suspect fled on foot. The shooting victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Aviation and K9 assisted with the search for the suspect.
The suspect is described as a light skinned Black male, dreds, 20-25 years old, 5'9-6', 160lbs-170lbs., black shirt and house shoes. He was driving a mid-90's White Monte Carlo (looks like old Lumina), occupied by five people. First three on tag 197. It was last seen at 198 Haywood Lane going towards I-24.
