Thread: No signal strength

    No signal strength

On my MAXHD I can not get any signal strength to come up on the meter for 110 or 119. I have all the correct settings. The strange part about it is if I put the ant setting to say ANIK 3 (118) port 1, I get echostar 7 with a 71 strength. and if I put it on and then if I switch it to port 2, I get 87 strength for echostar 10,11..So I set Anik3 on port 1 and 110 on port 2 then scan channels . the only problem is I get NO INFORMATIN on alot of the channels. But if I dont do it that way I dont get channels at all. Somewhere I read a similar problem and it was suggested that maybe the card inside the box(the one to get local channels and whatever) could be bad. I just want to know if anyone has any insight on this before I spend the money on a new card..Thanks

YOU MAX HD SETTINGS should look like these....

you can get Hd if you already had the 8psk adaptor installed. Most of the HD channels are on 129W and 61.5W. Use the settings below to setup your vs maxHD.

    Ech* 7 - 119W
    LNB Power------ON
    LNB Type-------ocs pro
    LNB Freq----------- 11250
    22kHz-------------Off
    TP Freq----------12239
    DiSEqC 1.0------Port 1
    Motor--------------Off
    Legacy SW------None

    Ech* 8,10 - 110.0W
    LNB Power------ON
    LNB Type-------ocs-pro
    LNB Freq-----------11250
    22kHz-------------Off
    TP Freq----------12224
    DiSEqC 1.0------Port 2
    Motor--------------Off
    Legacy SW------None

    Re: No signal strength

I have a similar setup and just recently my Signal Strength started to go in and out. I noticed that I get about 71 strength only if I change the LNB Type to Standard, but when doing so I am not getting any Quality on many TP Freq. that I used to get when I had it set as OCS DP. Anyone know how to fix this?
