Saturday my receiver froze up when downloading a fix thru the usb. It stopped at the do not power off.. I waited one hour ans itremained the same.
I loaded the opkey, channel progam,latest bin file and used the loader v 2.
I loaded evrything and the recievr completed and said no chan on the front. I took the receiver and connected back to the dish and tv and then my remote now was active. I did a channel auto scan and also guide and then I noticed I had dulpicate channel and no news or local channels can anyone provide me a steer in the right direction?

We need a little more info before anyone can hold you. What sat and how many are you aiming to? What reciever do you have?

What i would recomend is to goto your "edit channel" on your dish and delete all the channels. and reprogram. If you have already done that please reply here tpo post more info.

I have a VS 2000 Ultra. I am using the echostar 7 and 8/10 ...119 and 110.
If I delete all channels can i reload back with the auto scan? Or how should I do this.
I am rather up in years and certainly am learning so be patient and I will get it.

No worries. I was once your age too :)

3 easy ways...

1. Delete all and relaod / scan
2. manualy edit / delete the dups
3. use channel master and edit / add / erase the dups and add the missing.

If you plan on useing channel master please play with it first and learn how to use it as it will frustrate you to no end if you just JUMP into it :)

Ohhhh, you can also try a channel list in the file section. Channel lists are made for viewsats and contain all the proper transponders and channels that are in the 61.5 - 148 Deg area. Enjoy!

Thanks for your help. I opened the channel master today and looked at it but you are correct, I will need some time to play with it. Since I have most all channels and the better half is happy i will research it and see what trouble I can get into. I have another ultra on order and then i will have one to play with and see if i can get better and most of the things that are done. Hey great hobby. I really appreciate your help.
Let me ask another ?
The vip sections is there one that you recommend strongly. I dont mind spending the money but I want to have access and support when I need it?

If you find we help, then please vip. You will access other areas not seen the the free account and it will get rid of the ads. All the vip does is help with the cost of running the site and bandwidth fees. And you have the right idea.. No panicing about the fta it's a great thing to play with and if you really like playing try a dish motor and get some real FTA channels.
