Ok here we go,
I have a viewstat2000 extreme, this is first time I have had to program it since I bought it a year ago.
I have the loader2, I have the DBPSW-080108X-1.PGM file
when I run the loader all I get is resending.
Thought it could be my port say I bought a new one today I have it in the com1 space on my motherboard, properties are fine, cable is brand new bought that today to from satelite store,
So ummmmmmmmmm any suggestions as to why it is not sending the file to receiver?

New cable is great, but it must be a null modem cable.

Well null modem cables have a twisted core. What that means is pin 9 on one side will not be pin 9 on the other side. This can be tested with a multimeter. Look at the cable and see if it saies null modem. Now with this cable is it a female to female or do you have an adapter on it, like a gender changer? Are you useing the serial on the back of the computer or do you have a usb to serial adapter?

Have you read the thread / sticky on how to aim / load ?

ok that download wouldnt unzip says it tis corrupt

That was not the problem. The orginal post was saying a problem loading and had nothing to do with a downloading problem. Since the files are checked and corrupting on your end check you virus scanning or try to save it before you open it. Sometimes when you try to open a zip from the temp internet dir it will corrupt. I have had this issue in the past before i re-loaded win xp.
