Need Help getting 119 to work

Hello all,

I am new here and need a little help. I pointed my dish and am getting signal 85, quality 95. I installed my WF and loaded 100902 and 100909 files. antenna scanned and am only getting 110W channels and no 119. whenever i highlight the 119 in the att scan, 110 shows up on the top of the screen. I have 119 in port 1, and 110 on port 2. I channel scan 110 and the channels show, but when i channel scan 119, nothing comes up. Where are my other channels? Thx for anybody's help

You're aimed too far east & need to bump your antenna dish to the west a little. You need to peak your dish on the 119 lnb first without a 4x1 or 2x1 diseqc switch. Scan them in one at a time might work better for you while you're learning.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried moving the dish (which is a dish 500) to the west but no luck...in antenna setting when i move the sat to 119, the upper rt corner keeps saying 110..it wont match.

What is your skew.????

Clockwise or Countercloakwise.??

Post up your location (City) and maybe we can help.

Are you using Dishpointer.com to get your Azimuth, Elevation and skew settings.??

Are you using the google earth overview at the above site to get your aiming correct by the line of site generated?

I use the following method to aim any Dish.

1----Make sure mast is totally plumb.
2----Set elevation and skew on the Dish.
3----Mount Dish to Mast.
4--- Use the line of site generated at Dishpointer.com to aim arm at distant object.
5----Tweak the Dish to get maximum quality from the TP showing least quality from both Sats.

It usually takes less than 20 Minutes to do all of the above.

If you are having trouble getting the 119 Sat ------Cover 110 LNB with tin foil and tune in the 119 LNB to the 119 Sat and if skew is correct 110 Sat will be there when you remove the Tin Foil from the 110 LNB.

when you scan 119 go back to menu and change your port back to the right 1 it will change poerts when u scan sometimes
