how do i update reciever properly with usb stick I have tried but does not work do i have to click on everything that shows on screen and shouldnt it reboot itself help please sorry viewsat ultralite

The file you are trying to update must be unziped. the reciever will not update itself with the file not ready to be installed. PLease read your viewsat manual for proper upgrade directions.

newbie not idiot is changed to peg file installed f stick selected update by usb drive

by the way this is ultralite 2000 not ultra as is says on yur credits

The Ultra and ultra lite have the same installation procedure. If it makes you feel better i will go and edit my orginal post to correct that. If you selected the file and the read bar goes really fast and then doesn't install then the file is not valid. It will not reboot if the file doesn't load, will not load if invaild file. When it was unziped it might have corupted on your end or someting happened to teh end result on your side. I have installed this fix and is verified working 100%
Some thing to try... Try saveing the zip onto your c drive then unzip. Sometimes opening a zip from the temp internet files will corrupt the file within the zip. Also try another usb stick, and if it comes to it load it with a serial cable. Please note.. when loading from a serial cable it is a direct write to the eprom in the reciever and if the file is not valid the reciever is toast.
