If you have a small monitor the icons build up fairly quickly in the taskbar, here's some solutions that I found works really well:

1) Change the taskbar icons to be small to allow more to fit.

1. Right click on any empty space on the taskbar and click on Properties.

2. To Use Small Icons on the Taskbar

A) Check the Use small icons box.

B) Go to step 4.

3. To Use Large Icons on the Taskbar

A) Uncheck the Use small icons box. NOTE: This is the default setting.

4. Click on OK.

2) Increase the height of the taskbar to allow more to fit in more than one row.

1. Unlock the taskbar by right clicking on any empty space and clicking and unchecking "Lock the Taskbar" option.

2. Move and hover the mouse pointer over the top or side border of the taskbar until it turns into a double arrow.

3. Left click and hold, drag the taskbar to how high or wide you would like it to be, then release left click when finished.

4. Relock the taskbar by right clicking on any empty space and clicking and rechecking "Lock the Taskbar" option.

3. Purchase some third-party software such as:

bins software it's only $5: Bins

This will basically allow you to group your icons together into smaller sections on your taskbar.

Sometimes you just need a little the space, and here are some options to give you the space that you need. I hope this helps somebody out!

I would love to see what the people are running that think they need more icons for the taskbar, just close some damn programs and open them again when you need them.
