I was looking for a way to quickly hide the programs I was running on my screen when somebody enters my computer room. Sometimes I'm working on documents that I do not want prying eyes to read. The quickest way I come up with to hide the screen was this:
To use the windows Lock function? just press Windows key + L
However I found this to be slow and cumbersome especially if you're in a rush to press the buttons. What I really wanted was a one key combination that would instantly cover what I was doing on my computer.
So here's a quick way of doing this:
Make a shortcut with a target application as: "C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation"
Then make a Windows hot Key map of what ever key you want, mine is F12 mapped to that shortcut.
I hope this is helpful someone. If you have a better way please post it I'd like to know about it.
