Windows 7 has a built in Zip feature that most people don't know about.
How to use it:
1) Right click on the file you would like to compress
2) click on "Send to" in the context menu
3) click on "Compressed (zipped) folder" to ZIP the file.
That's it your done with No third-party software to install
