I have Window Xp.
When I try to click a link that has an e-mail address to send an e-mail, I am getting this message:
"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed"

I did search Microsoft website and followed performed some changes, but still unable to click the link to send e-mail.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

What email client are you using? Assuming you are using Outlook Express which comes with XP, when you first open it, the client requires you to go through the setup. During this process, it will ask you if you want Outlook Express to be the default email program. If this is the client you want to use, you should have said yes. To make Outlook Express the default email client, goto Options tab, then General Tab, at the bottom, click on the Make Default Tab for email handler.

Maybe the IE setting needs to be setup?

How To Change Default Email Client
To change the default e-mail client:-

1]Log on as Administrator

2] Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click Programs tab and select your email client from the drop-down list. Once selected, click OK/Apply button.

Thanks for the info.
Tried your method and did not work, but then I tried different e-mail client, clicked apply, ok, then restarted my computer.
Then I went back and selected Microsoft Outlook again, apply, then OK.
All ok now.
Thank you for your support.
